For a Second Year RCR Associates President Chosen as Mentor for Northeastern Program

 

Rooney To Work with Undergraduates as Professional Mentor

October 7, 2011 —For the second year in a row, Renate Rooney, founder and president of RCR Associates, LLC, has been selected by Northeastern University’s College of Business’s (CBA) Alumni Coaching Program at Northeastern University to mentor two undergraduates.

The Northeastern program is an initiative that partners CBA Alumni with senior students, providing students with the opportunity to connect with and learn from successful alumni. The program is designed to assist seniors in making the transition from their undergraduate education to starting a full-time career.

By sharing experiences and knowledge, alumni help define and shape a student's future while at the same time enjoying several benefits from being a coach. In addition to being involved in the development of a Northeastern student, it is an opportunity for alumni to form a meaningful relationship, offer guidance, and reconnect with CBA as they reflect on their own career.

"I’m excited to participate in a program at my alma mater that helps seniors further develop the skills, confidence, and network they’ll need to be successful in their careers,” said Rooney, a seasoned executive manager with a broad business background in strategic planning, finance, operations management, information technology, and mergers and acquisitions.

"We are enthusiastic about this program and the opportunities it will provide our students…[it also creates] a tangible way for alumni to give back and to stay connected to Northeastern’s College of Business Administration,” said Millie Gray, Assistant Dean, Undergraduate College of Business Administration, Northeastern University.
